Frequently Asked Questions
How do I personalize an order?
Place the order for the product and quantity you want, then email your personalization details, logo, artwork, or reference image to carbonlab3d@gmail.com. Include your Shopify order number so we can match the files to your order. Production begins after we have the information needed to make the item correctly.
Can I send my own STL, logo, image, or design?
Yes. Customer-supplied files are welcome as long as you own them or have permission to use them. Common file types include STL, 3MF, STEP, SVG, DXF, PNG, and JPG. We may recommend adjustments for printability, engraving quality, cutting, or production.
Do you make completely custom products?
Yes. Custom work is a major part of Carbon Lab 3D. You can start with a customizable product listing or use the Start a Custom Project page for something unique.
Will I see a proof before a custom design is made?
For projects where layout or artwork approval is important, we may send a digital proof or confirm the design details before production. Simple name or text personalization may not require a separate proof unless requested or needed.
How long does an order take?
Turnaround depends on the product, quantity, customization, material availability, machine time, and current workload. Custom-project timing is confirmed after review. If you have a deadline, include it when you send your order details.
Do you offer bulk or business pricing?
Yes. Quantity pricing is available for branded products, promotional items, metal business cards, pens, decals, engraving, 3D-printed parts, and small-batch production. Email carbonlab3d@gmail.com for larger quantities.
Can every image or logo be engraved or cut?
Not always. Laser engraving and cut vinyl work best with clean, high-contrast artwork. Very detailed graphics may need to be simplified or converted before production. We will contact you if an adjustment is needed.
Are personalized items returnable?
Because personalized and made-to-order items are created specifically for each customer, they generally cannot be returned for a change of mind. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or does not match the approved order details, contact us so we can review the issue and make it right.
Will every custom item look exactly identical?
Minor variations can occur in natural materials, filament, engraving tone, and manufacturing processes. We focus on producing clean, consistent finished products while preserving the characteristics of the selected material.
