Custom Orders & Artwork
Carbon Lab 3D specializes in personalized products, custom fabrication, and small-batch work. This page explains how to submit artwork and what to expect after ordering.
Sending personalization and files
After placing an order, email your personalization details and files to carbonlab3d@gmail.com. Include your Shopify order number in the subject or message so we can match your files to the correct order.
Helpful file types include STL, 3MF, STEP, SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG, and high-resolution PDF artwork. Vector files are preferred for logos, vinyl cutting, and many engraving projects when available.
Artwork review
We review submitted artwork for manufacturability, size, detail, contrast, and suitability for the selected process. If a file needs clarification or a small adjustment, we will contact you before production. Extensive tracing, logo recreation, modeling, or design work may require an additional quote.
Proofs and approvals
Projects that depend heavily on layout, placement, or custom design may receive a digital proof before production. Simple text personalization may proceed without a separate proof when the instructions are clear. Once a proof is approved, changes may require additional cost if production has already started.
Production timing
Made-to-order production begins after we have the information and approvals needed to manufacture the item. Turnaround varies by product, quantity, material availability, machine time, and project complexity. If you have a deadline, send it with your order details before relying on a specific completion date.
Customer-supplied artwork
By submitting artwork, logos, models, characters, photographs, or other files, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them for the requested project. Carbon Lab 3D may decline work that is unsafe, unlawful, infringing, or unsuitable for the requested application.
Custom and personalized items
Because personalized and made-to-order products are created specifically for each customer, they generally cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or does not match the approved order details, contact carbonlab3d@gmail.com with your order number and photos so the issue can be reviewed.
